Builder Earnings and Fees
You keep 85% of every sale before payment fees. SchemaBounce keeps 15%. Signing up and listing cost nothing (dec-013).
- Payouts are not enabled. Sales accrue in your Seller Hub balance. The monthly payout job is off until it is proven live. No payout date is promised here.
What comes out of your share
Payment costs come out of the 85%, not out of the platform's 15% (dec-013). The one exception is a refund you issue: SchemaBounce covers the card fees Stripe keeps (dec-094).
| Cost | Rate | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | 15% of the price | Every paid sale |
| Card processing | 2.9% + $0.30 | Every card charge |
| Stripe Billing | 0.7% | Subscription charges only |
| Stripe Connect account fees | Billed by Stripe to your own account | Your connected account, see Payouts |
| Chargebacks | The disputed share plus the Stripe dispute fee | Disputed charges, see Payouts |
Rates come from the pricing policy in the marketplace code (internal/commerce/policy.go). Cents are rounded half up.
Worked examples
Monthly managed team at $499. Each charge: $74.85 platform fee, $14.77 card processing, $3.49 Stripe Billing. You earn $405.89. Twenty subscribers is about $8,100 a month.
One-time bot at $49. $7.35 platform fee, $1.72 card processing. You earn $39.93.
Minimum paid price, $10. $1.50 platform fee, $0.59 card processing. You earn $7.91.
Price rules
- Free listings have no minimum.
- A paid listing costs at least $10, one-time or per month (dec-013).
- You set the price. The platform does not suggest or cap it.
- Price against the work the automation replaces, not against the cost of hosting it.
The $50 payout minimum
Your accrued balance is paid out once it reaches $50. A smaller balance carries forward to the next month. Payouts are monthly and transfer the whole payable balance. Read Payouts, refunds and disputes for the mechanics and the current status. Earnings are payable 30 days after the sale. You can refund your own sale until it is paid out; the refund takes back exactly what the sale earned you ($81.80 on a $100 sale) and SchemaBounce covers the rest. A builder's balance never goes below zero (dec-094, accepted).
Your own SchemaBounce plan gets cheaper
Active paid subscriptions on your listings discount your own SchemaBounce plan (dec-013):
| Active paid subscriptions | Plan discount |
|---|---|
| 1 | 10% |
| 3 | 20% |
| 6 | 30% |
| 12 | 40% |
| 20 | 50% |
The discount is credited to the plan invoice of a workspace you own. It applies to self-serve plans and never to usage. The Seller Hub shows your current discount and lets you pick the workspace.
What the Seller Hub shows
Customer payments, platform fees, card processing, refund adjustments, one-time and managed revenue, your marketplace take-home, available balance, paid-out earnings and paying customer count. Take-home is before your own labor, software, tax and subcontractor costs.
