Open and Sealed Listings, and Your IP
Your prompts and team designs are the product. You choose per listing whether buyers can read them.
Not enabled yet
- Execution certification is not enabled. Every listing shows the Verified badge. The Certified badge appears when the platform turns certification on.
Open or sealed
| Open | Sealed | |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer can read the agent's SOUL, skills and rules after deploying | Yes | No |
| Buyer sees what data and tools the agent can touch | Yes | Yes |
| Runs on the platform | Yes | Yes |
| Needs certification first | No | Yes |
| Available for workflows | Yes | No |
Some buyers require open listings for compliance, and it can be a selling point. Sealed means the prompt runs on the platform and is never shown to the buyer.
Sealing rules
- Sealing requires the listing's latest version to pass execution certification. The platform only conceals what it has run and vouched for. While certification is off, sealing is unavailable.
- On a sealed listing, a new version does not reach buyers until it passes the execution run.
- Workflow listings cannot be sealed. The platform refuses to deploy a sealed workflow, so a sealed workflow could not be installed.
- You can open a sealed listing again at any time.
What the platform protects
- Nobody can download your manifest from the catalog. Public listing pages and version lists show metadata only: version, changelog, content hash and the certification report.
- Manifest content is released only to you, to the platform's deploy path for a workspace that bought it, and to platform administrators.
- Publishing a manifest byte-identical to another publisher's work is rejected.
- Forking is allowed for free listings with attribution ("based on"). Paid listings do not permit derivation.
The honest limit
A language model that holds your prompt in context can sometimes be talked into paraphrasing it. Sealing raises the bar. It is not cryptographic secrecy. A managed team is the strongest position: the buyer never receives your files, only the outcomes.
License
The standard listing license lets a buyer run what they bought. It does not permit redistributing, republishing or reselling your work. Report violations to the platform. Takedown and dispute handling is run by SchemaBounce.
